3 Days, 3 Shifts: The Journey Through the Soul Fest

Something happened in Mulund between the 3rd and 5th of July that many of us are still carrying home in our hearts.

The Soul Festival brought together devotees from every corner of the city, all gathered in the sanidhya of Param Namramuni Gurudev, for three days that felt like one long, gentle conversation between the soul and the self. Some came with questions they had carried for years. Some came simply because a friend told them to just be there. What everyone left with, though, was something quieter and steadier, a sense of coming home to their own mind.

These three days brought with them moments of wisdom, devotion and deeper understanding. Through every session, Param Namramuni Gurudev shared timeless wisdom on understanding our thoughts, nurturing our inner peace and discovering a deeper connection with the self.

Day 1: When Mulund Opened Its Heart

The Soul Fest began on 3rd July with Mangal Pravesh, the auspicious arrival of Param Namramuni Gurudev in Mulund. The morning at Kalidas Auditorium began with devotees coming together in devotion, prayers and collective chanting. The atmosphere was filled with serenity as the Mangalcharan and Shree Uvasaggharam Stotra Japp Sadhana created a moment of deep connection and reflection.

The first day became a beautiful reminder of how awareness can transform the way we experience life. Through his guidance, Param Gurudev shared insights on recognising the right moments, nurturing our thoughts and making choices that lead us towards a more meaningful journey. The story of sharpening the axe beautifully reflected the importance of preparing and strengthening our inner self before taking on life’s challenges.

He also shared the story of three merchants, highlighting how our choices and priorities shape the direction of our lives. The session also touched upon mindful speech and the importance of using our words with awareness, making everyday actions a reflection of Jain meditation and inner discipline.

The evening brought a more interactive experience through Think & Sync, a special podcast hosted by Shri Jay Thadeshwar. In a heartfelt conversation, Param Gurudev addressed questions from young professionals, parents and entrepreneurs about managing emotions, relationships, ambition and everyday challenges.

He shared practical wisdom on how to control your mind during moments of frustration, how to respond with awareness instead of reacting instantly, and how to maintain balance while pursuing personal and professional goals. The session offered a deeper understanding of how inner calm can influence every aspect of life.

By the end of the evening, the atmosphere had shifted from curiosity to quiet reflection, leaving everyone with thoughts to carry into their own journeys.

Day 2: A Little Step, A Little Closer to Ourselves

Saturday morning began at the Mota Upashray with One Step Up, a special Pravachan where Param Gurudev shared insights on personal growth, awareness and taking small steps towards a more meaningful life.

Param Gurudev spoke about spiritual growth as a journey of patience, consistency and inner awareness, reminding everyone that lasting transformation begins with small steps.

If the morning was about growth, the evening was pure celebration. The Tu Hi Tu Bhakti Concert, with Hariombhai Gadhvi, Jainambhai Varia and CA Devanshbhai Doshi, filled Kalidas Auditorium with music that felt less like a performance and more like a prayer set to rhythm.

Voices rose together, hands moved in devotion, and for a few hours the entire hall seemed to forget its worries completely. It was the kind of evening where bhakti itself became the answer to how to stop overthinking, because when the heart sings, the mind naturally grows still.

The warmth of this evening continues to live through the melodies, devotion and collective bhaav experienced by everyone present. Those who wish to relive the beautiful moments of the Tu Hi Tu Bhakti Concert can revisit the celebration here:

Day 3: The Festival’s Final Blessing

Sunday, the 5th of July, brought the Soul Fest to its most powerful close with Param Mahanaad, a Mahaprabhavak Shree Uvasaggahar Stotra Japp Sadhana combined with musical bhakti by the kids.

The morning began with Param Mahanaad, a soulful dhun dedicated to Param Gurudev, followed by collective chanting and sadhana. Through this final session, Param Gurudev shared insights on the significance of mantra repetition and its ability to bring focus, peace and deeper awareness within us.

During the session, Param Gurudev invited subjects from the audience and shared short spontaneous pravachans on each topic, offering meaningful insights and guidance through his wisdom. Each reflection connected with everyday experiences and encouraged devotees to look at life with greater awareness and understanding.

The day also carried forward Parasdham’s spirit of seva. The Tapsamrat Rati Guru Shanti Data Yojna was formally launched, students were gifted bicycles through the Pedals to Progress initiative, and the Always Care Animal Ambulance was introduced to bring emergency medical help to injured stray animals. A new series called Look N Learn Kids Rhymes was also unveiled, designed to plant seeds of good values in young hearts through simple songs.

Many devotees shared how the sessions gave them a fresh perspective towards their daily challenges. For some, it was a reminder to slow down. For others, it became the encouragement they needed to bring more patience and positivity into their relationships.

The final day of the Soul Fest brought together deep sadhana, spiritual insights and acts of compassion that reflected the essence of Jain values. The complete Param Mahanaad session can be experienced again through the recorded livestream.

The Path Towards Mastering the Mind

If there was one thread running quietly through all three days, it was this simple question, how to control your mind. Across the Think & Sync podcast, the Pravachans and Param Mahanaad, Gurudev returned to this idea again and again, explaining it in ways even a child could follow.

He explained that the mind is like a river. Left alone, it wanders wherever the current pulls it. Mind control techniques, he said, are simply the small dams we build along the way, a pause before reacting, a breath before speaking, a chant before worrying. He described inner peace meaning as a mind that has quietly learned to sit still, even when life around it is loud.

And for those wondering how to find inner peace in the middle of deadlines, difficult bosses or family tension, his answer was refreshingly simple: serve someone else for a moment and your own worries will feel lighter almost instantly.

He also spoke gently about overthinking, describing it as the mind replaying a scene long after the scene has ended. His guidance on how to stop overthinking was rooted in presence, in returning again and again to the current moment through mantra, through seva, through simple gratitude for the life we have been given.

Three Teachings to Carry Beyond the Soul Fest

The Soul Fest may have been a three-day celebration, but the wisdom shared during these moments continues to guide our everyday lives. Param Namramuni Gurudev’s teachings remind us to bring more awareness, compassion and devotion into every moment.

  • Pause Before You React: A moment of awareness can change the way we respond to situations. By understanding our thoughts and emotions, we move closer to a calmer and more balanced mind.
  • Stay Connected Through Spiritual Practice: Mantra, bhakti and Jain meditation help create inner stability and strengthen our connection with the self.
  • Let Compassion Become Action: The seva initiatives shared during the Soul Fest reflect the true essence of spirituality, where inner growth finds expression through kindness and care for others.

The Journey Continues Within

Three days, three very different shifts in energy, and yet one continuous thread of transformation. That is really what the Soul Fest Mulund gave everyone who attended, a chance to slow down, look inward, and walk out just a little more aware of their own mind and heart. For those who could only follow along online, we hope this Parasdham Soul Fest recap brings you a piece of that same stillness.

Param Namramuni Gurudev often reminds us that spiritual growth is a daily practice, built moment by moment, breath by breath, rather than a destination we reach once and then forget.

The Soul Fest may have concluded on 5th July, yet it marks the beginning of a deeper journey of reflection and spiritual growth. As Chaturmas unfolds, these teachings continue to guide devotees towards greater awareness, compassion and inner harmony in everyday life.

This, perhaps, is the truest gift of these three days. Learning how to control your mind is a gentle, lifelong art, and Param Namramuni Gurudev keeps teaching it to us with the same patience he asks us to hold onto in our own lives.
