In 2011, it was Shri Muulrajbhai Chheda’s birthday, and he had arrived for Param Gurudev’s darshan early in the morning. As soon as Param Gurudev’s eyes fell on him, there was a gentle smile on his face. He asked, “Today, it’s your birthday, isn’t it?” Muulrajbhai only smiled and nodded in agreement. Param Gurudev said, “So then… I must give you a gift, right?”
Muulrajbhai didn’t know what to say, but he started imagining various things in his mind, ‘Would Param Gurudev bless me with a mala recharged with his sadhana energy? Or will it be a special inspiration inked in his own handwriting?’ To put a full stop to all the thoughts running in his mind, Param Gurudev closed his eyes. Seeing him in a meditative state, Muulrajbhai also closed his eyes and became immersed in the silence.
After a few moments, Param Gurudev opened his eyes and told Muulrajbhai, “Okay! I’ve given you your gift! You may go now!” Muulrajbhai’s heart started experiencing something very different. But he didn’t understand, what was the gift afterall?
Soon after, strange occurrences started happening with Muulrajbhai. Whenever anyone would come to him with a question about any field, Muulrajbhai would instantly give him a solution… just like Param Gurudev guides everybody! The solution would also be so flawless that the opposite person would think, ‘This is the perfect solution to my problem!’ But in reality, Mulrajbhai would be very surprised because he wouldn’t have any previous knowledge of that field. When he would share such instances with Param Gurudev, Param Gurudev would brush it off as though he had not heard it at all!
Muulrajbhai’s curiosity to understand such instances was rising with every passing day. Once, he had gone for Param Gurudev’s darshan to Chennai. Several gurubhakts were sitting there, and on a light-hearted note, Param Gurudev said, “I will ask everyone a question. Whoever gives me the correct answer will get prasaadi. But Muulrajbhai, you must not answer!” Muulrajbhai agreed, and Param Gurudev asked his question. Everybody tried, but unfortunately, no one could give the correct answer. Ultimately, Param Gurudev looked at Muulrajbhai and asked him to take a guess. To everyone’s surprise, Muulrajbhai answered it correctly, and with a smile, Param Gurudev said, “Ideally, you shouldn’t get a gift! But still, here you go!”
Muulrajbhai was confused, ‘How could I answer such a difficult question that no one else could?’ As though Param Gurudev was reading his mind, he said, “Sometimes, the Guru’s gift is invisible! Do you remember your birthday gift, Muulrajbhai?” Like a flash, it struck Muulrajbhai at that moment what the gift truly was! And with a spark in his eyes, Param Gurudev continued, “I had blessed you with the gift of param pragna, inner wisdom!”
Just as Parmatma Mahavir would transfer his knowledge to a worthy disciple with a mere sight, Param Gurudev transferred his deep wisdom to Muulrajbhai! That’s why, he could answer ANY question he was asked in any field, even though he had no prior knowledge about that subject.
